The White House announced progress in negotiations for the release of Hamas hostages. Head of the US CIA, William Burns, and the NSC coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, Brett McGurk, are engaged in “productive discussions” on this issue.
Earlier, the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, announced that he had received a proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip. The White House said they are confident that we are making progress in trying to achieve a long pause for therelease of hostages.
