The wave of resignations in South Korea's medical profession continues for a week. More than 10,000 interns and resident doctors have resigned, and more than 9,000 of them are actually absent from work.

Major large hospitals in Seoul have halved their surgical and medical treatment schedules to cope with the impact of collective resignations. But the vacancies in medical services caused by the collective resignation and absence of interns and residents are still exacerbating medical chaos. The Emergency Response Committee of the Korean Medical Association (Medical Association) expressed its stance on the same day and emphasized that it will continue to fight the government.
