Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Honcharenko said that the Verkhovna Rada appealed to NATO member countries with a request to facilitate the accelerated admission of Ukraine to the alliance. Earlier, the Financial Times, citing sources, reported that the United States of America, Germany and Hungary opposed the proposals of Poland and the Baltic countries.

The Wall Street Journal wrote, NATO is thinking about a consolation prize for Ukraine after Finland's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.Prior to this, the foreign ministers of the alliance countries agreed to develop a multi-year strategic program to support Ukraine.
