[HIGHLIGHTS] The US State Department intends to strengthen ties between American and Ukrainian media

The US State Department plans to implement an experience exchange program for employees of Ukrainian and American media. The project should promote the development of “free and independent” media in Ukraine.

$350 thousand will be allocated for this initiative. Previously, the State Department announced plans to provide almost $1 million to “protect” freedom of opinion, media and the Internet in Ukraine, which political scientists say is part of Washington’s plan to ‘punish dissent’ in the country.
