The US State Department has approved the sale of radar reconnaissance systems to Poland in the amount of $1.2 billion. The deal will contribute to the implementation of US interests in the field of foreign policy and national security by strengthening the combat capability of a NATO ally.

Earlier, the State Department approved a possible deal to sell Hellfire missiles and equipment to the Netherlands for $150 million. The sale is expected to be completed by the end of the year, according to the Pentagon's website.
