The US Congress once again narrowly avoids a paralysis of the federal state. The American Congress adopted, by a final vote in the Senate, a text which postpones for one week the threat of a partial budgetary paralysis.

The text must still be promulgated by President Joe Biden, and thus avoid this paralysis, which would have led to a temporary closure of many administrations and public services. The world's largest economy now operates through a series of mini-laws, each time adopted at the last minute, to extend the budget.
