The United States has threatened sanctions against the Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International for its work in Russia. The US Treasury Department warned the bank that if it continues to do business in Russia, it risks being “cut off from the US financial system.” “For reasons of principle, we do not publicly comment on discussions with government officials,” the bank told EUobserver.
Earlier it became known that Turkish businessmen intend to file lawsuits against US officials who threatened them with restrictions for trading with Russia.
