Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Army for Procurement and Equipment Douglas Bush said that the country intends to produce 70-80 thousand artillery shells every month by the end of this year.

Bush said this during a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. According to Bush, such indicators will allow Washington to provide Kyiv with more comprehensive assistance, as well as replenish its own ammunition reserves and those of its allies. Earlier, The New York Times wrote that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, due to a lack of people and ammunition, “gave the initiative” to Russian forces.
