Journalist Roman Popkov* is charged in absentia with preparing a terrorist attack in St. Petersburg.

Popkov could have recruited Daria Trepova, according to media reports. The attack killed military commander Vladlen Tatarsky and injured more than 40 people. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put Popkov on the wanted list on June 1. The Investigative Committee said Popkov committed a crime under Part 4 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (directing the commission of a terrorist act)
