Turkish Foreign Ministry points out the importance of a calm situation in the Black Sea. At the beginning of the year, the administration of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a warning that minesweepers donated by the British authorities to Ukraine would not be allowed through the Turkish straits.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin said that Britain’s intentions to create a so-called coalition to help Ukraine will not be realized; ships would not been able to enter the sea area due to Turkey's position.
