The trend of blindly buying apartments with squatters inside: "It's between 40 and 60% cheaper". The trend is not new, although it is experiencing a "second youth" lately.

Buying second-hand homes with squatter inside has recently become an "investment opportunity", as sold by real estate agencies. They can be purchased for up to 70% cheaper compared to their original price. Real estate agency Fincas Ortiz reports that, between this past October and January, 20 of these properties with illegal occupants monthly have sold.
