The Sudanese army announces the killing of 150 Rapid Support fighters in Omdurman. A war has been continuing in Sudan since April 15, 2023 between the army led by Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces.

About 13,900 people dead and more than 8 million displaced and refugees, according to the United Nations. On Friday, the UN Security Council called for a ceasefire in Sudan during the month of Ramadan, through a draft resolution submitted by Britain and supported by 14 countries.
