An Atlantic storm has brought unpleasant, wintery weather to many areas of Spain this weekend, with widespread rain; snow not only in the mountains, but also at low levels of about 600 meters. Strong gusts of 90 km/h and waves of nearly seven meters in Galicia.

The storm has washed away a good part of the El Bombo beach in Mijas (Málaga) and has caused significant damage to a beach bar located on the seafront. Just over 200 incidents have been attended to by the Single Emergency Telephone in Andalusia due to the rain and wind.
