The South Korean ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry due to Seoul sanctions. Seoul recently imposed sanctions on Russian individuals and legal entities.
Moscow views this as an unfriendly step by Seoul, taken on the basis of unfounded accusations of “illegal cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang in violation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions” “This cannot but have a negative impact on bilateral relations. It was emphasized that the Russian Federation categorically does not accept such illegitimate actions against itself,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
