The son of the last king of Italy, Umberto II, Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, died in Geneva at the age of 87. In 1978, he was accused of killing a German youth on the island of Corsica following an argument over a pleasure boat.
The court acquitted the aristocrat, but in 2006 he accidentally confessed to the deliberate murder of a 19-year-old young man. Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain died on September 8, 2022 at the aged of 96.
