Somalia and Turkey signed an agreement on defense and economic cooperation. Turkey will work to protect about 3,000 kilometers of the Somali coast using Turkish warships and soldiers.
It is not yet clear whether this protection will take place in the Gulf of Aden and the Somaliland region.
