[HIGHLIGHTS] The small Martian moon Deimos seen up close by the Emirates space probe

First time since the Viking Mars mission in 1977 that a probe has flown so closely over Deimos. "Hope" is the first Arab interplanetary mission to orbit Mars.

It will continue to orbit the red planet until at least 2023, when it will return to Earth. The mission is funded by the United Arab Emirates, which also plans to send a probe to the moon in the future, and to send an unmanned probe to Mars in the 2030s and 2050s. The probe will be called "Al-Amal"
