The head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops (RCBZ) of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, said that Ukraine uses chemical weapons not only during combat operations, but also to carry out terrorist attacks. “The Ukrainian Armed Forces use toxic compounds not only in military operations,” he said.

He added that laboratory tests showed the presence of the substance ricin, included in Schedule 1 of the CWC, in biomedical samples. Earlier, Kirilov said that Ukrainian troops had repeatedly used American-made chemical weapons during the conflict.
