The daughter of workers, Odette Lecland was born on 27 December 1922 in Paris. She was arrested by the French police on August 13, 1941 at the Richelieu-Drouot metro station.

She too remained faithful to her communist ideal all her life and campaigned for women's rights. For decades, she testifies in schools, tirelessly, to keep alive the memory of her classmates shot. She died on the night of May 26 to 27 at the age of 100.
