The prosecutor's office of the Murmansk region opened a criminal case against the attacker on the regional governor Andrei Chibis. It was established that a resident of the city of Apatity, after the end of the reception of city citizens, stabbed him in the stomach and tried to escape from the scene.
Russia's Investigative Committee said it had interrogated the governor's attacker. As it turned out, he was previously prosecuted under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Russia for causing minor bodily harm.
