The Prosecutor General's Office of Brazil appealed to the Federal Supreme Court with a request to investigate the heads of local offices of Google and Telegram. The head of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Brazil, Arthur Lira, requested verification after criticism from the platforms of the bill to strengthen control of Internet content.

He said that the companies abused their position and tried to put pressure on users to prevent the bill from being passed. Earlier, Telegram admitted the possibility of leaving Brazil if the country adopts a bill to combat disinformation.
