Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis is in a post-operative state. Doctors are looking at the dynamics of his condition in order to make further decisions on his treatment.
Russia's Investigative Committee said it had interrogated the governor's attacker. The attacker was previously prosecuted under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Russia for causing minor bodily harm. He was arrested after an attempt on the politician’s life in Murmansk, the region's largest city, on Monday.
