Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa said in an interview with Spanish-language television channel CNN that he refused to transfer weapons to the United States because of the conflict in Ukraine. According to Noboa, he previously did not know about Washington’s plans regarding the future fate of the old Soviet equipment from Ecuador.
Earlier it was reported that the Ecuadorian authorities are canceling their decision to supply Russian equipment to the U.S. The Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation emphasized that the transfer of military equipment to a third party could negatively affect Russian-Ec Ecuadorian relations.
