Juan Jesús Vivas faces his seventh term at the head of the autonomous city of Ceuta. The local leader of the Popular Party has become the most voted candidate in the regional and municipal elections.

Vivas has obtained 34.2% of the votes, which translates into a representation of 9 of the 25 seats of the assembly of the Autonomous City. He is four seats short of an absolute majority and will need to find a partner to govern. The main competitor of the PP this election campaign has been Juan Sergio Redondo, candidate of Vox.
