The popular jury finds Nerea Añel's boyfriend guilty of homicide by omission. The Prosecutor's Office requested this sentence because it considered that the woman could have been saved with medical assistance.
For its part, the private prosecution, represented by the young woman's mother, requested 14 years in prison and demanded that the man be convicted of homicide. After four days of trial at the Provincial Court of Ourense, the jury, made up of five men and four women, found the accused guilty.
