[HIGHLIGHTS] The Pentagon was concerned about the safety of the military in connection with the actions of the ICC against Russia

Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin expressed concern about the safety of the US military against the backdrop of the ICC's actions against Russia. State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin proposed prosecuting judges of the International Criminal Court for issuing an "arrest warrant" for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Austin stressed that for him the protection of the United States military is a priority. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that no decisions of ICC matter to Russia, including from a legal point of view.
