Ilias Akoudad, murderer of brigadier Éric Masson on a deal point in the heart of Avignon in 2021, was sentenced on Friday March 1 to 30 years of criminal imprisonment. This sentence, accompanied by a security period of 20 years, is certainly heavy for the accused, aged only 22.

The decision was commented on at the top of the State, with the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, estimating on X that “justice has been done”
