On the 129th day of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the killing of 10 Israeli soldiers. The Jerusalem Brigades said that they had ambushed an Israeli force, leaving its members dead and wounded.

Amnesty International warned of what it described as an "imminent risk of genocide" in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. The White House said that it does not support a general ceasefire in Gaza now, considering that the crisis will not end until Hamas releases all the Israeli hostages.
