The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus excluded Roman Protasevich from the register of extremists. The list currently includes 3,753 people who are serving or have already served sentences for extremist offenses.

In June 2023, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that he pardoned Roman ProtASEvich because he did everything he promised and admitted the wrongness of his actions. The Minsk Regional Court sentenced him to eight years in prison for conspiracy to seize power. He was released from prison on May 3, 2023.
