The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced a reduction in the period of stay of migrants in Russia to 90 days. Official representative of the department Irina Volk said that the department has prepared a bill to tighten control in the field of migration.

The bill also provides for mandatory fingerprinting and photographing of all migrants upon entry, the introduction of a single document for foreign citizens, replacing all migration documents issued today, the creation of a unified register of employers and foreign workers, etc. “Expulsion applied to offenders or persons posing a threat to security... In this case, deportation will have the right to be ordered both by the court as a penalty and by authorized federal executive bodies extrajudicially as a measure of state coercion,” it is indicated in one paragraph of the document.
