The Russian Ministry of Education has proposed increasing the total number of history hours in schools by 136 hours to 476. The department proposes to increase the study of history in grades 5-8 from two to three hours a week (with 34 school weeks) The department also proposes to allocate two hours aweek to a history lesson in ninth grades.
The draft was published on the official Internet portal of draft regulatory legal acts. It follows from the draft published earlier this year about the labor training program in Russian schools.
