The Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the results of the national air quality forecast consultation in the second half of March. The air quality in most of the northern, northeastern, southern and southwestern regions of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas was mainly excellent.
In some periods, short-term moderate or above levels of pollution may occur. Cities in eastern and southern Xinjiang are affected by sand and dust weather, and moderate to severe pollution may occurs during certain periods. The primary pollutants are mainly PM2.5 or PM10.
