For a total of seven weeks, the children's clinic and maternity ward in Örnsköldsvik will be closed due to a shortage of doctors. The closure is divided into two periods, between weeks 26 to 28 and weeks 32 to 35.
During the closure, only the maternity ward is open to women who will give birth in the region. For women who live in the county, it will be 15 km to Sundsvall, unless they choose to go to, for example, Umeå.
