The Japanese Cabinet of Ministers refrained from commenting on the results of the elections in Russia. Secretary General of the Japanese government Yoshimasa Hayashi said: “Our country refrains from commenting” Russian Ambassador to Japan Nikolai Nozdrev reported that voting in the Russian presidential elections was active in the Chinese department of the Russian Embassy in Japan.

The Japanese government has not commented on the Russian elections. The Russian elections were held on March 18. The results were announced on March 25.
