The Israeli army announced the killing of a sergeant from the Mountain Brigade and the injury of 13 soldiers, including 6 in serious condition. Soroka Hospital announced that it received 9 injured soldiers, two of whom sustained serious injuries, and added that it is now treating 42 soldiers in various departments.
In total statistics, the hospital said that since the beginning of the war, it had received 2,819 soldiers of varying degrees of severity. Israeli media reported that the dead soldier and the 12 wounded were killed in an ambush in Hamad Town, west of Khan Yunis.
