The Israeli army "confirms" the assassination of Al-Qassam Brigades leader Marwan Issa. Hamas did not confirm or deny the martyrdom of Issa.
Israel describes Issa as the third man in Hamas after its head in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, and the leader of its military wing, Muhammad al-Deif. Issa is considered one of the most wanted men in Israel and the United States. The US State Department added him to its list of “most wanted global terrorists” in particular since 2019.
