Israel banned the entry of 100,000 Palestinian workers following the Al-Aqsa flood operation last October 7. To compensate for the gap, it began importing labor mainly from India, China and a few other countries.
Thanks to the close alliance between Netanyahu and the Modi government, there was an agreement to facilitate the employment of Indians. The recruitment drive was widely promoted on pro-government channels, many of which spoke of the helping hand India should extend to the Israeli ally. It is expected that the first Indian workers will arrive in Israel soon in groups of 700 to 1,000 individuals.
