Hungary has blocked the allocation of a tranche of military aid for Ukraine in the amount of €500 million from the European Peace Fund, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry confirmed. On May 4, the Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) declared the Hungarian banking group OTP Bank Group a "sponsor of the war" due to the work of a financial institution in Russia.

As Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban noted, arms manufacturers and speculators are interested in continuing the conflict in Ukraine.
