Head of the Polish Foreign Ministry intends to discuss the topic of reparations with Berbock. In October 2022, former Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau signed a note demanding reparations from Germany for damage caused during World War II.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz noted that the issue of reparation to Poland is regulated by international law. According to Schein, Germany knows that they have a strong, democratic and assertive country as a partner. The issue of war reparations will be discussed with the German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock.
