The head of the national police of the Volyn region was detained for selling cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The State Bureau of Investigation suspects him of protecting the trade in military vehicles, which were imported through a charitable foundation.
According to the agency, 52 cars were sold. During the inspection, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine revealed violations worth $1.3 million in one of the military units of the armed forces. There is no official confirmation of the information. Earlier, the anti-corruption policy committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Anastasia Radina, admitted that Ukraine was forced to sacrifice part of its sovereignty to fight corruption.
