The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, called for the EU economy to be put on a war footing due to the alleged threat from Russia. According to Michel, the time has come for Europe to take responsibility for its security and not rely on the United States or other allies.

The politician also announced the need to double the volume of military orders by 2030. Earlier, the head of NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Michal Szczerba, called on the alliance to make a “mental transition” from peacetime to a time of military threat.
