The Government promotes a Trafficking Law so that victims have residence and work permits without having to report. The head of the Equality portfolio, Ana Redondo, has explained that filing it is often "difficult" due to "the fear and anguish" to which women who suffer sexual exploitation are subjected.

The rule will not be "punitivist" with mafias that are dedicated to doing business with human beings, but will be "focused on prevention, awareness and protection," says Redondo.
