The Gaza War evokes Vietnam's struggle and its previous strong solidarity with Palestine. Vietnam is currently witnessing rare political activity in support of the Palestinians at a time when the war on Gaza is a reminder of the shared solidarity in the struggle for national liberation.
But the decades-long relationship between the two countries has been overshadowed by the recent promotion of Israeli business culture to a younger generation of Vietnamese. Many of Vietnam's youth are inspired by Israel's startup culture while knowing little about the dark side of Israel's long occupation of Palestinian territories.
