The book "The Game is More Than Football" was launched by Ibrahim Badawi, international affairs editor of the Qatari newspaper Al-Raya. Badawi has worked to monitor some of the media attacks on the World Cup in Qatar in Western media.

The campaigns of attacks on Qatar extended from then until a few weeks after the tournament was organized last year without any clear justification. The book documents the most prominent Western narratives in the British newspapers "The Guardian" and the American "The Washington Post"
