The Galician sacristan dies after the image of a saint fell on him. The man, 78 years old and a resident of Coristanco, was transferred by medical helicopter to the University Hospital Complex of A Coruña (Chuac), where he was admitted and died on the same day.
The event occurred around 1:25 p.m. on Saturday and it was Emergency Services that alerted 112 of the incident and the movement of the aircraft for transfer. Local Police and Civil Protection, among others, were notified.
