The French army says it has destroyed four combat drones in the Gulf of Aden. "This defensive action contributed directly to the protection of the Barbados-flagged freighter True Confidence, which was hit on March 6 and is being towed," the military said in a statement.

The drones were en route to a European naval mission in the gulf of Aden, the French military said. The French army said the action was in response to a drone attack on a freighter in the area earlier this month.
