[HIGHLIGHTS] The France questioned at the UN on discrimination and police violence

U.S. and other countries call on France to do more to combat racial violence.

The United Nations has called on the French government to act on the issue. The U.N. has also called for an end to the use of force by the police in the fight against terrorism. The French government has said it will take steps to address the problem of racial profiling in the police force. The UN has also asked the French Government to take action against the use by police of force against people who are protesting racial discrimination.
