[HIGHLIGHTS] The first endorsement was successfully issued and Xi'an officially became a mainland city for "individual travel" to Hong Kong and Macao.

Starting today, Xi'an will officially issue "Passport to and from Hong Kong and Macau" to the city's registered residents and residence permit holders. Citizens can choose to apply for six types of "individual travel endorsements", including going to Hong Kong once every three months, twice every 3 months, once a year, and twice a year.

Holders of "tourist visa" can stay in Hong Kong or Macao for no more than 7 days at a time. In 2023, the number of entry-exit documents processed in the city will be close to one million.
