The EU supported the use of Russian assets for Ukraine, but the decision was postponed. The final decision may be made before or during the EU summit on March 21-22.

The Council of Foreign Ministers of the EU countries previously decided to expand the European Peace Fund to pay for arms supplies to Ukraine. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba requested urgent assistance for Kyiv from the EU and the United States. The EU and U.S. are working on a plan to send arms to Ukraine, the Ukrainian foreign minister said.
