The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during their meeting in Doha on Monday. Abbas arrived in Qatar on Sunday on an official visit of unannounced duration, coinciding with the continuation of Qatari-Egyptian-American efforts to conclude a prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Israel.
Palestinian News Agency reported that the Palestinian Authority is coordinating with Qatar to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and to support the official Palestinian position seeking to end the occupation.
